Bill Kearney to Direct the Upper Valley Stewardship Center
We are pleased to announce the appointment of Bill Kearney as the Director of Experience at the Upper Valley Stewardship Center. Together with the Innstead Mountain Getaway, the vision of the UVSC is to utilize the outstanding multiple use resources of the Mountain in East Haverhill, NH to promote stewardship and wellness for individuals, families and groups. Working closely with our certified forester, Andrew Westerman, the UVSC team’s role is two-fold. First, the team will continue to caretake and improve the Mountain, including its vast network of hiking, mountain biking and ski trails. This effort will include the creation of forest, wetland and habitat demonstration areas. It will also include a revitalized effort to resume farm operations on-site with an active Miniature Hereford herd. Second, the UVSC team will design and promote educational and wellness partnerships, activities and events on the site for individuals, groups, schools, agencies and companies in coordination with the Innstead Mountain Getaway team.
We are thrilled that we were able to link Bill to the Mountain vision through this role at the Upper Valley Stewardship Center. Bill is an avid outdoor enthusiast and is already familiar with the Mountain resources after a decade of work in the Upper Valley as an educator at The Oliverian School, the founding manager of the Innstead Mountain Getaway, and most recently as the Director of Vocational Support for the Trade.
