Clinical Consultant

Will White, D.A., M.S.W., L.C.S.W., M.L.A.D.C.

Dr. Will White brings over 30 years of mental health and leadership experience to Moosilauke Visions. As a pioneer in experiential mental health treatment, he co-founded Summit Achievement in 1996, a nationally recognized adolescent treatment program blending academics and adventure, which became part of Moosilauke Visions in 2022. Will’s career has included roles in private practice, hospital settings, and educational institutions, focusing on ethical mental health care and connecting people to themselves, others, and nature.

A Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Master Licensed Drug and Alcohol Counselor, Will has supervised numerous clinicians, mentored program leaders, directed treatment programs, and taught mental health treatment in outdoor settings at Plymouth State University for over 20 years. He is the author of Stories from the Field: A History of Wilderness Therapy and hosts the podcast Stories from the Field: Mental Health and the Outdoors. Will currently serves as Clinical Supervisor at Mountain Valley Treatment Center.

Will lives in New Hampshire’s White Mountains with his family, where he enjoys hiking, backcountry skiing, and mountain biking.
