Located on over a thousand acres in Haverhill, NH abutting the White Mountain National Forest and conserved lands surrounding Lake Tarleton State Park, the Upper Valley Stewardship Center is a haven for individuals and families seeking an unspoiled and unmotorized outdoor experience. The UVSC serves an important role in the fabric of the East Haverhill community, offering a variety of options for outdoor enthusiasts, including miles of novice, intermediate, and advanced hiking, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing opportunities. The Eve Center, located at the base of Iron Mountain, offers a high and low ropes course, and a 40’ climbing tower for the more adventurous. The Eve Center often hosts school groups and therapeutic providers and is available for corporate and family groups seeking team and family-building support. Both Pike Glades and the Innstead Mountain Getaway (please see individual descriptions below) are situated in separate areas of this same property. New initiatives at the Upper Valley Stewardship Center have recently begun to establish a life-centered learning program for young adults who are struggling to launch.
